You'll Know It's Not a Real Fire on The Modern Flames Orion Multi, But Others Won't
You’ll be hard-pressed to find better-looking flames. To build the flame effects of the Orion Multi Electric Fireplace Modern Flames hired a movie studio to shoot footage of actual wood and gas fires. They analyzed hours of footage to choose clips of the most beautiful flickering flames and then programmed them to the Orion Multi!
Multi-Dimensional Flames – HELIOVISION Technology gives the flames the appearance of having depth. You will have a hard time telling the flames of the Modern Flames Orion Multi aren’t real. The flames look great from any angle so that you enjoy them to the fullest from anywhere in the room. The reflective backing reflects the logs to give additional depth and makes it look like the flames are coming from the middle of the included log set.
Are the flames that good? Yes! They even have spark embers that fly off the flame and burn out just like a real fire. The Orion even has a subtle smoke representation. Kick back and enjoy the Ambient Crackling and Popping sounds recorded from actual fire. This series has 4 volume settings, including off.
Your Orion Multi Fireplace Has Clean Face Built-In/Recessed Wall-Mounted Installation Options
The Orion Multi is the most versatile in terms of installation. The 3-Sided Glass allows you to go for a Bay, 2-Sided, or 1-Sided Clean-Face view. This is the only electric fireplace in the Orion Series that can give you a Clean-Face install.

3 Flame Styles – Creating your preferred combination of flames starts with picking between Wood, Gas, or a Hybrid of flames. You can go with a natural or rugged look with the Wood flames or a more contemporary flame with the Gas option. The Hybrid lets you meet in the middle for a unique combo!
6 Flame Colors – Next move on to choosing the flame color to set the mood. Choose between Yellow, Orange, Blue, Green, Purple, and White.
10 Ember Colors – Pulsating light from the ember bed glows through the Black Reflective Glass to give the appearance of embers with a contemporary spin. There is an 11th setting that rotates through the colors.
10 Down Lighting Colors – Finally, to dial in your preferred color combo, select the Down Lighting which reflects off the Western Driftwood Log Set giving the logs a unique tone. The Down Lighting also has an 11th setting which rotates through the colors.
The Flame, Ember, and Down Lighting colors all operate independently giving you 600 color combinations to choose from!
3 Flame Speeds & 5 Intensity Settings – You’ve sorted out your favorite color combos. Customize your setup even further by adjusting the speed and intensity of the flames! Lower the speed and intensity on a relaxing evening with the lights down low. Bring the speed and intensity up for a lively gathering. With the Orion Series you have complete control over the realistic flames!
Does it Produce Heat? Yes! Your Orion Multi Fireplace No Heat, Low, & High Settings
5,000 – 10,000 BTU’s (400-800 sq ft) – The heater is powerful! Most electric fireplaces can only produce 5,000 BTU’s of heat. The Orion Multi Electric Fireplace is the only in its series that can produce 10,000 BTU’s. The heating capability depends on which wiring installation you choose.
5,000 BTU’s – Enough heat to take the chill off of the room. Plug or hard-wire into a 110-120 Volt dedicated 20 Amp Circuit.
10,000 BTU’s – Can be used as supplemental heat! Hire a qualified electrician to hard-wire to a 220-240 Volt dedicated 20 Amp Circuit (2 pole).
Built-In Thermostat – Set the thermostat to your desired temperature so the room stays perfectly cozy! Ranges 66-88 Degrees Fahrenheit.
Wi-Fi Enabled & Programmable Through the Modern Flames Orion Multi App
The Modern Flames App allows further customization than you can achieve with just the remote or touch panel controls. The app is easy to use and allows you to customize all the settings we mentioned above, but it also allows you to program them to turn on at certain times!
Use the Modern Flames App to set the flames of your Orion Multi Fireplace to turn on at 7:00 pm in your preferred color combination when you’re ready to relax after dinner. Program the heat to bring the room to a comfortable 72 degrees. You can program the settings differently for each day of the week!
What Makes the Modern Flames Orion Multi Stand Out?
- 3-Sided Glass – The Orion Multi is the only electric fireplace in the Orion Series that has 3-Sided glass and can achieve a bay view installation. It’s also the only one you can install 2-Sided in a corner.
- Clean-Face Installation – You can install this model clean-face or flush mount for a contemporary look. The other models have a slight bevel that stands out from the wall.
- 9-Inch Depth – The Multi is 9” deep giving it more depth. If you ever choose to get a bigger log set, it will fit in this model.
- More Heat – The Orion Multi is the only one that can produce 10,000 BTU’s. You may choose the Multi if you also want a supplemental source of heat.
